"The Upper 1V students were once again inspired by the sensitive delivery of Islam by Wali Rahman. Wali has become a great friend of St Mary's, and every year we look forward to his visit. In this multicultural and multi-faith world it is essential that we explore common ground between faiths so that we can mutually further the Common Good. Wali explored the common ground giving great dignity and respect to the teachings of Christianity. We look forward to his visit a gain in January when he will speak with the Sixth form." - St.Mary's School, Shaftesbury (http://www.st-marys-shaftesbury.co.uk/)
WICC is able to conduct school visits and deliver RE classes on Islam as well as assemblies and presentations for the promotion of diversity and citizenship. This is led by our Secretary, Wali Abdur Rahman, who, over the past seven years, has visited over 30 primary and secondary schools in Wiltshire and Bath. We have also facilitated tours and visits to Trowbridge Mosque.
We are also able to deliver Cultural Diversity Seminars and workshops to voluntary and statutory organsiations.
Wali has over seven years of experience in developing and delivering such seminars to a host of organsiations, including Avon and Somerset Police, Wiltshire Police, University of Bath staff, Wiltshire Council and others.
We also work closely with West Wiltshire Multifaith Forum (formerly West Wiltshire Interfaith Group) and participate in multifaith days at schools and multifaith training for Wiltshire Police.
