Ongoing Activities
SACRE Membership-
WICC is now a member of SACRE
(Standing
Advisory Councils on Religious Education) which is
responsible for advising the local education
authority on Religious Education in Schools.
Diversity
training- WICC is working in partnership
with West Wiltshire Interfaith Group to deliver
training and advice to new Police recruits on
matters related to Islam and Muslims.
Schools
Visits - WICC is open to invitations from
local schools to deliver presentations and talks
about Islam and Muslims to pupils.
Working
with Wiltshire Police- WICC has invited
Police officers to come and talk to the children at
our Sunday School on safety and also taken a group
of children to visit the Police station in
Trowbridge.
Future Activities
We are planning many future
activities for the benefit of the Muslim Community
as well as the wider community and wish to work
together with groups who have common goals and
objectives. All of these
activities require funding and commitment from
people in terms of time and energy.
